the Chamber |
Your Chamber was first established as a Business Organization in 1922 with Mr. M. Barshay as President. On December 23, 1970, The State of South Carolina issued a Certificate of Incorporation to The Summerville Chamber of Commerce, the purpose of which was to advance the commercial, industrial and civic interest of the Town of Summerville and its trade area. Mr. Thomas W. Myers was President. Today, the name of the Chamber is Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce. Our mission is to promote economic vitality and a favorable business climate in our community while protecting and improving the region's quality of life. *indicates a PDF link |
